1997 Columnated Ruins Domino

In 1997 I spent the summer working on a fabulous project that would tie together the strands of my previous years' epoch-making work: Pumpkin Mystery Theatre. 30 A4 pages, by me, of a comic that would tie together the human drama of Cat Flap with the wacky comedy supernatural of Witchfinder (Generally). All the crew would be there: Rick, Holly, Belladonna, Oswald Pumpkinhead, Larry (Holly's big-haired little brother), Kristie, and a cast of many more, including Amy, a new character I had introduced as Larry's girlfriend, and Tim Jones, a 70s styled seeker into mystery.

Of course, it was horrible, unscripted chaos. And it has never been shown before. Marvel at my own elephant-man style creation. But don't look too long lest ye go madde. Which I did.

After that ghastly debacle, I took the only two characters I wasn't totally sick of, Tim and Amy, and spun them off into their own series, Tall Tales. Tall Tales is actually the start of the Bobbins timeline, if you will (though I personally wouldn't). A couple of new Tall Tales strips appeared in Bobbins continuity at one point. Then I think I took them out again.
